The History of Bryansk
Background
The history of Bryansk is interesting - Bryansk translates to something like “City of the forest” or something to do with a forest.
Historically, it is said that opposing armies “dared not go through the forests of Bryansk because the ferocity of the people in the region was legendary."
”If you went in, you were never seen again.”
The Polish army tried to take the area in the 12th century. 18,000 Polish troops went up against approx 4,000 Bryansk area residents.
No Polish troops returned.
It is said they threw any prisoners into pits of wolves, bears or wild dogs for entertainment!
The people called the Kurgan originated in the Bryansk region. Also the Cossacks (and we know they were nuts.)

Ancient History
The founding of Bryansk as a separate entity was because of the Economic Crisis in the early 21st Century. Fueled by "Nationalism", a revolution transpired against the Russian Government. The country won its independence after the "Battle of Trubchevsk" in which the Rebel General "Keyser Söze" defeated the Russian Army in one of the bloodiest battle in human history. Over 4.5 Million People, shared over both sides were killed in the fighting. The Russians attempted to nuke Bryansk but failed in doing so, when sympathizers that were helping Bryansk used the nukes to blow up the silos without even launching them.
The Keyser was considered a national hero their after, he took control of the country, and proceded to fix the economy by the "Bryansk New Deal".
Since the founding of the Empire of Bryansk, it has been involved in many wars, and international disputes with neighbors. Keyser is still the leader of Bryansk.
The country is one of the most powerful Empires to exist since the American Empire.
Recent History
April 2009
A small revolution in the capital against the General Secretary, Political Freedom for the first time since January was -99.99. Democratic nations of the world were angry when the G.S. declared Martial Law to repel the uprising. This event is known as the "5 Day Civil War", which took place in the lower populated areas of the country. Over 300,000 People were killed. Many of those were on the Rebellion. The General Secretary has re-assured his supporters that the Regime is still in full control, and will remain so, by any costs, no matter how many Roubles, or Lives. Politically.
May 2009
On May 17th,The Empire of Bryansk was given control of the United Nations Alliance. Since Bryansk has become the Executive nation of the UNA, The General Secretary enacted reforms such as the creation of the United Nations Alliance Security Council. David's term as Executive of the United Nations Alliance was one of the quietest ever, David focused on getting the succeeding Executive ready, by passing the Membership control over to the Legislator, and having members vote on Legislators, and the Exec and terms for both Exec and Legislator 4 weeks. His term was 1 month, 5 days ending on June 22nd. All else after him, 28 Days....
June 2009
June 15th, David's Diplomats secure a Mutual Defense Pact between the United Nations Alliance and the Order of the Sith. This would later backfire on a mistaken identity from another Sith Faction and a UNA member.
On June 22nd, Bryansk is no longer in control of the United Nations Alliance after the new amendments pass on a 7-0 vote from the Legislative Branch, another nation, Heilige, gains control for the next four weeks. On the same day, Bryansk becomes a Legislator in the United Nations Alliance.
